Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented AR Caller to join our Physician Billing team. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage accounts receivable for medical services provided, ensuring timely and accurate payment from insurance companies and patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical billing processes, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to resolving outstanding claims.

AR Caller (Night Shift) Specialist - Physician Billing

Responsibilities:

• Review and follow up on unpaid or denied claims with insurance companies and patients.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in payments or coding issues.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for patients prior to services rendered.
• Maintain accurate records of all communications and actions taken regarding accounts receivable.
• Generate and analyze aging reports to prioritize follow-up activities.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including physicians and billing specialists, to resolve complex billing issues.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients regarding billing inquiries and payment arrangements.
• Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and billing guidelines, including HIPAA.
• Enter patient demographic and insurance information accurately into the billing system.
• Review physician documentation to accurately code and enter charges for services provided.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for billing.
• Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and guidelines related to billing practices.
• Resolve billing discrepancies and issues with insurance companies or patients as needed.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, office staff, and patients regarding billing inquiries.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Assist with month-end closing processes and reconciliation of accounts.
  

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.
• Proven experience in AR follow-up and collections within a physician billing environment.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and billing software systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in US Medical Billing required.
• Industry-leading remuneration package.
