Position Overview:
As the Director of Product Innovation, you will be at the forefront of shaping the future of wearable devices. You will lead a dynamic team of product managers, designers, engineers, and researchers to conceptualize, develop, and launch industry-leading wearable products that exceed customer expectations and drive market differentiation. Leveraging your expertise in emerging technologies, user experience design, and market trends, you will define the product roadmap, spearhead innovative initiatives, and champion a culture of creativity and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Vision: Develop and articulate a compelling vision for the future of wearable technology, identifying market opportunities, and defining strategic product objectives
- Product Roadmap: Lead the development of the product roadmap, prioritizing features and functionalities based on customer needs, competitive analysis, and technological feasibility
- Innovation Leadership: Drive innovation across all stages of the product lifecycle, from ideation and prototyping to commercialization, ensuring that our products remain at the forefront of technology and design
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, marketing, and sales, to ensure alignment and execution of product strategies
- User-Centric Design: Champion a user-centric design approach, leveraging user research, usability testing, and customer feedback to inform product development and enhance user satisfaction
- Technology Assessment: Stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and competitive developments in the wearable technology space, assessing their potential impact on our product portfolio
- Performance Tracking: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of product initiatives, tracking performance against targets and iterating based on insights
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the product innovation team, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous learning
- Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including executives, partners, and suppliers, to drive alignment and support for product initiatives
- Avid Fitness Enthusiast: Infuse your passion for fitness and well-being into the development process, ensuring that our wearable products meet the needs and expectations of fitness enthusiasts like yourself
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Design, or a related field; Post graduate degree in the field of management is a plus
- 10-12 years of experience with a proven track record of leadership in product management or product development roles, preferably in the wearable technology industry
- Deep understanding of wearable technology trends, including sensors, connectivity, health monitoring, and user interfaces
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate market insights and customer needs into actionable product strategies
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving collaboration across disciplines to deliver innovative products on time and within budget
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
