Job Summary :
DevOps Lead in a hybrid environment plays a crucial role in bridging development and
operations teams, ensuring smooth, efficient, and secure integration of software across both cloud and on-premises infrastructure. The position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a solid understanding of both traditional IT infrastructure and modern cloud technologies.
The DevOps Lead is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end deployment process,
ensuring system reliability, scalability, and performance. He/She will lead the DevOps team
and work closely with software engineers, system administrators, and stakeholders to create a seamless CI/CD pipeline, manage infrastructure, and enhance automation processes.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Leadership & Strategy :
- Develop and implement DevOps practices across both cloud and on-premises environments, ensuring seamless integration and deployment.
- Lead and mentor the DevOps team in implementing best practices in automation, infrastructure management, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
- Collaborate with software development, QA, and IT operations teams to create scalable, automated, and reliable processes.
- Drive the adoption of DevOps methodologies and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
2. Infrastructure Management :
- Oversee infrastructure as code (IaC) for both cloud (Azure) and on-premises environments.
- Manage hybrid infrastructure, ensuring connectivity, security, and scalability across both environments.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for the efficient delivery of software across development, staging, and production environments.
- Automate manual processes, deploy scripts, and ensure zero-downtime deployments
3. Monitoring & Incident Management :
- Set up and maintain monitoring, alerting, and incident response systems (e.g., Dynatrace, Grafana,) to ensure uptime and performance.
- Develop process to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues quickly.
4. Security & Compliance :
- Ensure systems adhere to security best practices, implementing secure coding, infrastructure, and monitoring techniques.
- Work with the security team to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations (e.g., SOC2, ISO, GDPR).
5. Collaboration Communication :
- Act as a liaison between development and Operations to resolve bottlenecks and ensure smooth delivery.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand infrastructure needs and future roadmap planning.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 10+ years of experience with hands-on in DevOps practice, setup and strategy
- Experience in Systems Engineering, or related field (Preferably in the area of Identity and Access Management)
- Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and IaC tools (Ansible, CloudFormation).
- Expertise in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
- Proficiency in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid understanding of scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) and version control (Git).
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace, Grafana).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience working in a highly regulated environment with knowledge of security compliance (e.g., SOC2, ISO 27001).
- Certifications in AWS, Azure, or Kubernetes.
