This role is integral to the design, development, and maintenance of our IIoT solutions. While the primary focus is on backend development using Node.js, we value versatile developers with full-stack capabilities. The position is flexible to suit the skills of the candidate, with opportunities for growth and professional development through dedicated trainings.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable backend services using Node.js.
- Develop and integrate APIs to facilitate data communication between devices, backend services, and user interfaces.
- Collaborate closely with product owners, designers, and other developers to deliver high-quality features and functionalities.
- Design and implement data storage solutions using timeseries databases suitable (PostgreSQL / Timescale DB) for IIoT data.
- Optimize application performance and ensure high availability and scalability of the backend infrastructure.
- Conduct code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality, performance, and security.
- Know the latest with industry trends and emerging technologies in the IIoT and software development space.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior developers.
- Contribute to the full software development process, from planning and architecture to testing and deployment.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript and related frameworks (e.g. fastify, mqtt.js, pino, awilix).
- Confident with Linux and Windows operating systems
- Familiar with bash scripting on Linux and good understanding how to use a CLI
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development.
- Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL (TimescaleDB) or others.
- Familiarity with IIoT protocols and technologies such as MQTT, OPC UA, Modbus TCP or similar.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Docker Compose, Kubernetes).
- Proficient with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to solve complex issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and capable of scoping with international collaborators.
- Closely coordinate with other departments and collaborators
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- Bachelor s or master s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in backend or full stack development with JavaScript / Node.js.
- Experience in full stack development with proficiency in front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines Gitlab or Azure DevOps.
- Understanding of security standard methodologies in an IIoT context.
- Experience with real-time data processing and analytics.
