UX (Desktop application) Designer

We are seeking a talented and creative UX Designer to join our team at nGenue Software development team. nGenue is a software solution that solves natural gas business requirements.

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the user experience of our software application, ensuring it meets the highest standards of usability, accessibility, and user satisfaction.

Your role will focus on understanding our customers' needs, behavior, and preferences to create consistent, intuitive, and engaging UI interfaces for our desk top application.

Responsibilities:

User Research: Conduct thorough research to understand the needs, goals, and pain points of our natural gas industry customers. This includes gathering feedback from internal team members through interviews, surveys, and usability testing.

User Personas: Create and maintain user personas that represent various customer segments, helping the team to empathize with users and align design decisions accordingly

Information Architecture: Develop and maintain the information architecture of our software, ensuring that content and features are organized logically and accessibly.

Wireframing and Prototyping: Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to visualize and communicate design concepts effectively.

Design: Should be able to create Design systems and hands on experience in creating user interfaces in Figma.

Usability Testing: Should be able to conduct usability testing and various testing methods like UX laws, Heuristic evaluation, A/B testing.

Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and QA engineers, to ensure the successful implementation of user-centered design principles.

Consistency: Maintain and enforce design guidelines, patterns, and design systems to ensure a consistent and cohesive user experience across our software.

Feedback Integration: Continuously gather and integrate stakeholder feedback to refine and enhance the user interface and user experience.

Stay Updated: Keep abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to UX design, and incorporate relevant insights into our design process.

Requirement:

• Proven 3+ years of experience in UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile development environment.
• Knowledge of the natural gas industry or energy sector is a plus, but not mandatory.
