Database Developer (PL/SQL)

Overall: 4+ years of experience

Main Skills:

• PL/SQL
• Postgres - At least 2 years

Desired Profiles:

• Strong experience in Postgres Product Coding - Feature development, Bug fixes, Review Patches, Security Patches, Code fixes related to Long-Term Support, Performance Optimizations to queries and indexing strategies, Contribute Modules, and Foreign Data Wrappers.
• Experience in Database Design and Architecture.
• Design and develop database systems based on organizational requirements.
• Design Storage & network architecture for database systems.
• Integrate monitoring/alerting solutions for centralized or decentralized support.
• Ensure data recovery processes are effective and tested regularly.
• Use automation tools to streamline database management processes.
• Lead and manage database-related projects from initiation to completion.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
• Stay updated with the latest database technologies and trends.
• Plan and execute data migration projects for application upgrades or platform changes.

Must have:

• 4+ years of Strong development experience in oracle SQL/PLSQL.
• 2+ years of development experience in postgresql PL/PgSQL.
• 2+ years of experience in Shell scripting.
• 2+ years of experience in performance tuning.
• Good knowledge on oracle architecture and various features available in oracle.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers.

Good to have:

• Experience on Oracle and Postgres DBA activities.
• Python development experience.
• SQL server experience.
• Working experience in Azure/GCP/AWS cloud environments is preferred.
• Data migration experience from Oracle to Postgres and across RDBMS/NoSql databases
