Software Engineer - Backend Development (2-6 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a talented and passionate Backend Software Engineer to join our dynamic team.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying high-quality, scalable, and secure backend systems for our critical applications.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our business.

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and other relevant technologies.

- Build and maintain robust and scalable APIs (RESTful web services) that meet performance and security requirements.

- Work with middleware, streaming, and database technologies such as Kafka, Redis, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, etc.

- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.

- Adhere to Agile methodologies and best practices in software development.

- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

- Conduct thorough unit testing and participate in code reviews.

- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, QA engineers, and product managers.

- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues effectively.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 2-6 years of professional experience in software development.

- 2+ years of experience in designing and developing cloud-native microservices using Agile methodologies (experience in the financial domain is preferred).

- Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and related frameworks.

- Experience with middleware, streaming, and database technologies (Kafka, Redis, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, etc.

- Experience with TDD/BDD and automation testing using tools like JUnit, Cucumber/Gherkin, Selenium, Jasmine, KarmaRunner, Blazemeter/JMeter.

- Knowledge of cloud scaling and containerization technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.

- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

- Experience with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code).

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Contributions to open-source project
