Job Overview :

We are seeking an experienced MSSQL Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team. The ideal candidate should have experience in managing and optimizing AWS-hosted MSSQL databases, with a strong understanding of AWS console and tools. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the performance, availability, and security of our SQL Server databases hosted on AWS.

Key Responsibilities :

- Administer, manage, and optimize MSSQL databases hosted on AWS.

- Configure and monitor databases on AWS using the AWS console and related services.

- Perform routine maintenance tasks including backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.

- Implement performance tuning measures and optimize SQL queries to ensure high availability and reliability.

- Analyze and troubleshoot database issues to ensure consistent performance.

- Collaborate with development teams to ensure optimal database design and performance.

- Ensure database security and compliance with best practices.

- Provide on-call support for database-related issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 4 to 6 years of experience working as a MSSQL DBA.

- Hands-on experience managing MSSQL databases hosted on AWS.

- Strong knowledge of AWS services relevant to MSSQL (i.e., RDS for SQL Server, EC2 instances, VPC, etc.

- Experience using AWS console for database management and monitoring.

- Strong experience in performance tuning, query optimization, and database tuning.

- Proficiency in SQL Server management tools and scripting.

- Ability to troubleshoot database issues and implement solutions in a timely manner.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
