Site Reliability Engineer - AWS Cloud Infrastructure (2-7 yrs)

Responsibilities :

• Design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.
• Ensure system reliability and performance through proactive monitoring and capacity planning.
• Monitor actual costs against budgeted figures and analyze variances.
• Implement cost control measures to minimize financial risks.
• Configure, optimize, and maintain databases (e. g., Amazon RDS, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and MySQL).
• Perform regular database patching and upgrades.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
• Deploy and Manage multiple environments with IaC.
• Perform regular upgrades with IaC.
• Implement best security practices, including IAM, VPC security, and encryption standards.
• Maintain health score on Security Hub and AWS Control Tower.
• Perform regular security reviews and manage audits.
• Set up monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, APM) and optimize database performance.
• Optimize and set up alerts and Grafana dashboards.
• Event-based automation on alerts.
• Develop and maintain backup strategies, disaster recovery plans, and high-availability architectures.
• Perform regular backup testing and DR drills.
• Work with DevOps pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Tekton, and ArgoCD.
• Diagnose and resolve complex cloud and database issues, ensuring minimal downtime. Uphold SLA.
• Work closely with development teams to streamline software delivery and operations.
• Automate routine tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues, providing effective solutions and workarounds.
• Provided technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Participate in architecture reviews and contribute to strategic planning.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in System Engineering.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in AWS cloud infrastructure and database management.
• Expertise in AWS services: EC2 S3 RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, Route 53 etc.
• Strong experience with relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB, MongoDB) databases.
• Proficiency in scripting languages: Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools like ELK Stack, Datadog, or New Relic.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Relevant certifications (e. g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are a plus.
