Loan Processing Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary of role:

As an Operation/Loan Processing Analyst specializing in UK SME lending, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of loan applications and supporting operational activities. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including relationship managers, underwriters, and customers, to facilitate the loan origination process and deliver exceptional service. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of lending operations.

Main duties and responsibilities are (but not limited to):

• Includes verification of KYC and loan relates documents to make sure everything is in order, coordinating with clients for execution of loan documents, updating records on CRM.
• Maintain MIS on the active approval accounts to chase client/broker to complete the loan related documents and DD mandate is completed.
• Ensuring completeness and accuracy of documentation and adhere to established lending policies and procedures.
• Documentation Management: Coordinate the collection, verification, and maintenance of all necessary documentation related to loan applications, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines.
• Liaison with Stakeholders: Collaborate effectively with internal teams, such as credit, sales and compliance, to expedite the loan approval process and address any issues or discrepancies that may arise.
• Customer Support: Provide timely and accurate responses to inquiries from clients/brokers/BDMs/BDEs regarding loan applications, terms, and conditions, demonstrating a commitment to delivering exceptional service and building long-term relationships.
• Process Improvement: Continuously review and streamline loan processing workflows and procedures to enhance efficiency, minimize errors, and optimize the customer experience.
• Carrying out post-transaction tasks such as registering security and sending out client documentation, follow
• Liaising with the sales, risk and operations team to manage the satisfaction of pre-commencement conditions.
• Liaising with external parties such as lawyers, and asset valuers as required.
• Providing ad-hoc assistance to the risk/operations team for current clients.

Person Specification:

• B. Com, bachelors degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
• minimum of 1-2 years experience in a loan processing or a similar role preferably in NBFC/Loan processing companies
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and experience working with loan origination systems or other relevant software platforms.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
• Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all aspects of work.
