Location: Pune (Hybrid) Shift: General Shift (IST Hours) - Candidate must be flexible to have an overlap of 2 hours with EST. Position Overview: Autodesks Desktop Connector team is looking for a passionate Senior QA Engineer to join our team. Our organizational ecosystem comprises desktop applications and cloud services. You will help drive important parts of the automation, validation testing of the desktop connector application which interacts with major Desktop CAD products and Autodesk services like BIM, AutoCAD, C3D, Inventor. This is an opportunity to work on applications that directly influence the millions of users of Autodesk products. You will work from Pune location and in Hybrid workplace mode. You will report to Engineering manager. Responsibilities: - Write, develop, execute and own test plans for both automated manual tests, using right tooling and integration with the product development process for a specific business area of the application. - Document, communicate, and prioritize bugs across the application. Ensure stakeholders are kept informed across different teams. Participate in bug bashes before feature release. - Analyse automation test failures and identify the root cause. - Identify automatable scenarios and write automation tests to support faster release of code in a continuous integration and continuous delivery environment - Improve the code quality by implementing new tests, scripts, building reusable components, and refactoring existing tests. - Perform peer review of automation tests and suggest ways to improve code quality and automation test coverage - Work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to define quality. Clearly communicate delivery risks and suggest the best approach to resolve the issues - Perform functional testing of new and existing features in an agile development environment with shorter sprint cycles and add new tests for new features. - Identify automatable scenarios and suggest automation possibilities to support faster release of code in a continuous integration and continuous delivery environment. - Work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to adhere to good software quality. Clearly communicate delivery risks and suggest the best approach to resolve the issues. Minimum Qualifications: - 5+ years of experience in automation manual testing, preferably any 3D modeler used in Architectural and Construction industry. - Creating and running test cases in Zephyr/XRay or similar tools. - Experience in Desktop UI testing using frameworks such as Test Complete or similar. - Proficiency in programming languages like C# .NET, Java. - Comfortable working in desktop-based applications and windows environment. - Working experience/knowledge in Agile methodology. - BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience. - Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI, GitHub Actions). Preferred Qualifications: - Proficiency in C# programming language - Experience in automating desktop software product along with manual integration testing. - Experience in testing AutoCAD, Revit, Civil3D or other AEC/CAD tools is a big plus. - Building automation tests using any of the automation frameworks such as - MS Tests, Karate, Cypress.io, Selenium, Cucumber, Specflow etc. is a plus but not mandatory. - Understand, embrace, and promote Agile methodologies, principles, and values.
