Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage a high-value government project. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a team of 10 blue-collar workers, ensuring that daily targets are met with the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This role requires a leader with strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage both people and processes effectively. Ex-servicemen from the Indian Armed Forces, particularly from the Corps of EME (Electronics and Mechanical Engineers), are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Management:
- Lead and manage a team of 10 blue-collar workers, ensuring effective communication, task delegation, and performance monitoring.
- Set daily targets for the team and ensure that these are met with the required quality and quantity of output.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a productive and positive working environment.
- Conduct regular team meetings to review progress, address challenges, and reinforce goals.
Project Execution:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the project, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and to the clients satisfaction.
- Manage the workflow and allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines and objectives.
- Ensure that all work complies with government regulations, safety standards, and client specifications.
Client Interaction:
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the project team and the client.
- Regularly update the client on project progress, address any concerns, and ensure client satisfaction.
- Coordinate with the client for certifications, inspections, and approvals as required.
Quality Assurance:
- Monitor the quality of work performed by the team, ensuring that it meets the project s standards and specifications.
- Implement and maintain quality control processes to prevent errors and rework.
- Address any quality issues promptly and take corrective actions as needed.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on project progress, team performance, and any issues encountered.
- Maintain accurate records of all project-related activities, including worker attendance, task completion, and client interactions.
- Ensure that all project documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks to the project and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact.
- Ensure that all team members adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Ex-serviceman from the Indian Armed Forces, preferably from the Corps of EME (Electronics and Mechanical Engineers).
- Proven experience in managing teams and projects, ideally in a government or high-value contract setting.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in project management software and MS Office.
