We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage a high-value government project. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a team of 10 blue-collar workers, ensuring that daily targets are met with the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This role requires a leader with strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage both people and processes effectively. Ex-servicemen from the Indian Armed Forces, particularly from the Corps of EME (Electronics and Mechanical Engineers), are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Management:
Lead and manage a team of 10 blue-collar workers, ensuring effective communication, task delegation, and performance monitoring.
Set daily targets for the team and ensure that these are met with the required quality and quantity of output.
Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a productive and positive working environment.
Conduct regular team meetings to review progress, address challenges, and reinforce goals.
Project Execution:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the project, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and to the clients satisfaction.
Manage the workflow and allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines and objectives.
Ensure that all work complies with government regulations, safety standards, and client specifications.
Client Interaction:
Serve as the primary point of contact between the project team and the client.
Regularly update the client on project progress, address any concerns, and ensure client satisfaction.
Coordinate with the client for certifications, inspections, and approvals as required.
Quality Assurance:
Monitor the quality of work performed by the team, ensuring that it meets the project s standards and specifications.
Implement and maintain quality control processes to prevent errors and rework.
Address any quality issues promptly and take corrective actions as needed.
Reporting and Documentation:
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on project progress, team performance, and any issues encountered.
Maintain accurate records of all project-related activities, including worker attendance, task completion, and client interactions.
Ensure that all project documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible.
Risk Management:
Identify potential risks to the project and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact.
Ensure that all team members adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
Qualifications:
Ex-serviceman from the Indian Armed Forces, preferably from the Corps of EME (Electronics and Mechanical Engineers).
Proven experience in managing teams and projects, ideally in a government or high-value contract setting.
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficiency in project management software and MS Office.
