As a Junior Storyboard Artist, youll play a crucial role in visualizing and crafting the narrative of various projects, including animations, films, explainer videos and commercials. Your primary responsibility will be to translate scripts or concepts into illustrated sequences that serve as blueprints for the production team and client. Youll work closely with directors, writers, and animators to ensure that the visual storytelling aligns with the projects vision.
Responsibility
Interpret scripts, outlines, or briefs to create visual sequences that effectively communicate the narrative and desired emotions.
Develop storyboards using sketches, digital sketches, or a combination of both, adhering to the projects artistic style and direction.
Collaborate with the creative team to refine storyboards based on feedback and ensure alignment with project goals.
Incorporate visual storytelling techniques, camera angles, and storyflow to enhance the overall narrative impact.
Meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards and attention to detail.
Iterate on storyboard drafts based on director and client input to achieve the desired visual narrative.
Requirements
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in fine arts, animation, or related field.
Proficiency in digital art software such as Adobe Photoshop or similar tools.
Strong sketching/illustration skills, with character design, layout, perspective and
thumbnail sketching.
Understanding of cinematic language, composition, and storytelling principles.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work in a highly competitive environment.
