We are looking for a passionate and experienced Art Lead to join our dynamic team. The Art Lead will drive the visual direction of our gaming projects, ensuring that the artistic elements enhance gameplay and deliver a compelling player experience. This role requires a deep understanding of game art production, strong leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Art Direction: Define and communicate the visual style and artistic vision for game projects.
Develop concept art, mood boards, and visual guidelines to align with the project s artistic goals.
Ensure consistency in art quality and style across all aspects of the game, including characters, environments, UI, and animations.
Team Leadership : Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of artists, including 2D/3D artists, animators, and texture artists.
Provide constructive feedback, conduct performance reviews, and support the professional growth of team members.
Facilitate effective communication within the art team and between art and other departments (e.g., design, engineering).
Project Management : Collaborate with the game design and production teams to define art requirements and deliverables.
Develop and manage art production schedules, ensuring milestones are met on time and within scope.
Troubleshoot and resolve art-related issues that may arise during development.
Quality Assurance : Oversee the review and critique process for art assets, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and fit the project s vision.
Implement best practices and processes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the art production pipeline.
Innovation and Trends : Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and technologies to continually push the boundaries of visual design in gaming.
Experiment with new techniques and integrate innovative solutions to enhance the overall artistic quality of our games.
Qualifications:
Experience : Minimum of 7 years of experience in game art production, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
Portfolio : A strong portfolio showcasing a range of work including character design, environment art, and UI/UX design for games.
Skills: Proficiency in industry-standard tools and software (e.g., Photoshop, ZBrush, Maya, Blender, Unity, Unreal Engine).
Leadership : Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a team of artists, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Creativity : Exceptional artistic skills with a deep understanding of color theory, composition, and visual storytelling.
Problem-Solving : Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges in a fast-paced development environment.
Education:
Degree in Art, Design, or a related field is preferred but not required.
