We are seeking a skilled & motivated Desktop Support Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing desktops, laptops, and other end-user devices, with expertise in both Ubuntu and Windows operating systems. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the smooth operation of our end-user computing environment by resolving technical issues related to hardware, software, connectivity, and application access.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, printers, and other end-user devices.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on Ubuntu and Windows platforms.
- Respond to help desk tickets and provide timely resolution of technical problems.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop operating systems and applications.
- Perform system upgrades, patches, and software installations as needed.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to identify and implement solutions for recurring issues.
- Educate end users on basic troubleshooting techniques and best practices for using IT resources.
- Document support activities, solutions, and procedures for knowledge sharing and future reference.
- Participate in IT projects and initiatives as assigned by the IT manager.
Requirements

- Bachelordegree (preferred).
- Proven experience in desktop support or a similar IT role.
- Strong proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues on Ubuntu and Windows platforms.
- Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
- Familiarity with remote desktop support tools and techniques.
- Decent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician) are a plus.
