Moback - SQL Developer - Database Design (4-8 yrs)

Job Description

Moback is looking for an experienced SQL Developer to design, develop, and optimize database solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL, PostgreSQL, database design, query optimization, and troubleshooting to ensure high-performance and scalable database systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures.

- Work extensively with PostgreSQL for database design, indexing, and performance tuning.

- Analyze and optimize complex SQL queries to improve performance and efficiency.

- Troubleshoot database-related issues and ensure high availability of database systems.

- Collaborate with development teams to implement best practices for database design and development.

- Ensure data integrity, security, and consistency across database environments.

- Monitor database performance and suggest improvements for scalability and reliability.

- Participate in database migration, backup, and recovery processes.

- Work with ETL processes, data warehousing, and reporting tools as needed.

- Stay updated with the latest SQL and PostgreSQL trends, best practices, and advancements.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 5 to 8 years of experience in SQL development and database management.

- Strong expertise in SQL and PostgreSQL.

- Hands-on experience in SQL design and development, including stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.

- Deep understanding of query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning.

- Experience troubleshooting database performance and integrity issues.

- Familiarity with database security best practices.

- Proficiency in data modeling and normalization techniques.

- Experience with ETL processes and data warehousing is a plus.

- Knowledge of NoSQL databases is an added advantage.

Nice to Have :

- Experience with cloud-based databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL).

- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps for database automation.

- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Shell for database automation.
