As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing sales operations within your designated region. Your primary role is to drive revenue growth by developing and implementing strategic sales plans, managing relationships with key clients, and expanding the customer base in the 2W, Battery, and Tyre industries. You will also be responsible for managing the sales team, monitoring performance, and ensuring that targets are achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets in the assigned territory.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales executives, ensuring that the team meets or exceeds sales targets.
- Provide guidance and support to the sales team through regular reviews and feedback.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, dealers, and distributors to ensure high customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Identify and onboard new clients and business opportunities to expand the customer base.
Performance Monitoring:
- Monitor sales performance in the assigned region, track sales metrics, and provide regular reports to senior management.
- Implement corrective measures if sales targets are not met, and continuously optimize sales efforts.
Market Expansion & Business Development:
- Identify and explore new market segments and opportunities to increase market share in the 2W, Battery, and Tyre industries.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to ensure alignment between sales strategies and business objectives.
Budget & Resource Management:
- Manage sales budgets and resources to ensure cost-effectiveness and maximum return on investment.
- Allocate resources to different regions and initiatives based on performance and market potential.
Sales Forecasting & Reporting:
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and develop plans to meet future sales goals.
- Prepare sales reports and present updates to management on progress, challenges, and solutions.
Customer Feedback & Market Intelligence:
- Collect and analyze customer feedback to understand their needs, concerns, and satisfaction levels.
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
Key Skills Required:
- Proven experience in sales management within the 2W, Battery, or Tyre industries.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to analyze market data and trends, and translate them into actionable sales strategies.
- Results-driven with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
