We are seeking an experienced PeopleSoft Developer with expertise in HCM modules for our team.
The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background in PeopleSoft development and support, with a focus on Core HR and NA Payroll applications for the US and Canadian market.
As a key member of the development team, you will work on both product development and support, contributing to the design, enhancement, and maintenance of PeopleSoft HCM solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop, maintain, and enhance PeopleSoft HCM applications with a focus on Core HR and NA Payroll for both the US and Canadian market.
- Work extensively with Application Designer, Application Engine, and PeopleCode to customize and enhance PeopleSoft modules.
- Implement and develop PeopleSoft Fluid User Interface and ensure it is aligned with user experience requirements.
- Work on the development of new functionalities, bug fixes, and maintenance for PeopleSoft HCM modules, including Core HR, Benefits Administration, and Payroll.
- Configure PeopleSoft Security to manage access control and user roles across the system, ensuring appropriate levels of security for different modules.
- Develop and configure Fluid pages and work on ensuring the Fluid user experience is seamless and intuitive across devices.
- Create and maintain SQL queries to extract data for reporting and troubleshooting.
- Design, build, and maintain PeopleSoft reports and support nVision, BI Publisher, or any other reporting tools integrated with PeopleSoft.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data issues through SQL queries and database management techniques.
- Leverage in-depth knowledge of Core HR and NA Payroll processes, especially focusing on the US and Canadian market.
- Collaborate with functional teams to understand requirements, design solutions, and assist in implementing HR/payroll-related processes.
- Ensure configurations and customizations are aligned with business needs and HR/payroll policies and compliance.
- Take ownership of the development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and post-deployment support.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for PeopleSoft HCM modules, addressing any production issues promptly and ensuring system uptime.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with PeopleSoft applications in a timely and efficient manner.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including functional experts, business analysts, and technical teams to deliver solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers and other team members.
- Communicate project status, challenges, and solutions effectively to stakeholders and management.
- Design and implement unit tests for custom PeopleSoft applications and interfaces.
- Ensure that new features and enhancements meet functional requirements and are free of defects before deployment.
- Participate in system testing and regression testing activities to ensure the stability of the environment.
Experience :
- 5-7 years of hands-on experience as a PeopleSoft Developer, specifically with PeopleSoft HCM modules (Core HR, NA Payroll).
- Proven experience in both product development and support roles, with a solid understanding of the complete development lifecycle.
- Experience working on PeopleSoft v9.x is required.
- Proficiency in PeopleCode, Application Engine, and Application Designer for PeopleSoft customization and development.
- Strong working knowledge of PeopleSoft Security and configuration of security roles and access control.
- Hands-on experience with Fluid User Interface design and development for PeopleSoft applications.
- Solid experience in SQL for querying PeopleSoft data, generating reports, and resolving issues.
- Experience in PeopleTools such as App Engine, PeopleCode, Fluid pages, Process Scheduler, and SQR is highly preferred.
- Strong functional knowledge of Core HR and NA Payroll applications, particularly in the US and Canadian payroll environments.
- Understanding of payroll calculations, tax regulations, deductions, and benefits administration processes.
- Experience with FLSA, EEO reporting, benefits configurations, and payroll tax updates within PeopleSoft.
- Experience in PeopleSoft integration with third-party systems, including external payroll providers or time-tracking systems.
- Familiarity with PeopleSoft's nVision and BI Publisher for reporting.
- Understanding of HR/Payroll best practices in a multi-country, multi-jurisdictional environment
