QA Automation Engineer

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test suites using Selenium with Python and Java, implementing frameworks such as POM (Page Object Model), and leveraging tools like Maven, Git, and GitHub for efficient software delivery. This role is critical to ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of our applications through fully automated testing strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Automation Development:
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium with Python and Java.
Implement and maintain automation frameworks such as Page Object Model (POM) for scalable and reusable test scripts.

Framework Design & Implementation:
Develop robust automation frameworks using tools like Maven, and integrate with version control systems like Git and GitHub.
Maintain and enhance test automation frameworks to support continuous integration and delivery pipelines.

Test Planning & Execution:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, create test plans, and design test cases.
Execute and monitor automated test cases and analyze results to identify and report defects.

Continuous Improvement:
Enhance test coverage, reliability, and scalability of automated test suites.
Identify gaps in the automation process and implement improvements to maximize efficiency.

Collaboration & Reporting:
Work closely with developers, QA teams, and product managers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Provide regular updates on automation progress, defect status, and test coverage.

Version Control & CI/CD:
Utilize Git/GitHub for version control and ensure collaboration with the development team.
Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality assurance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Experience:
4+ years of experience in automation testing using Selenium with Python and Java.
Hands-on experience with automation frameworks (POM, Hybrid, or BDD frameworks).

Tools & Technologies:
Proficiency with Maven, Git, and GitHub.
Experience working with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent.
Familiarity with REST API testing tools like Postman, Rest-Assured, or similar is a plus.

Testing Expertise:
Strong understanding of software testing life cycle (STLC) and defect life cycle (DLC).
Experience with functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.

Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cloud-based testing platforms like Sauce Labs or BrowserStack.
Knowledge of BDD tools such as Cucumber or Behave.
Familiarity with test management tools like JIRA or TestRail.
ISTQB or similar testing certification is a plus.
