Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated API Developer with strong expertise in Azure cloud services and .NET technologies to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will have experience in building robust, scalable, and secure APIs in the cloud, with hands-on experience in Azure services and .NET framework development.

As an API Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying APIs that integrate with various systems and services within the cloud ecosystem. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• API Development & Design:
  
• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using .NET technologies (C#, ASP.NET Core).
• Deploy APIs in the Azure cloud environment while ensuring scalability, security, and high performance.
• Azure Integration:
  
• Leverage Azure services, such as Azure Functions, API Management, Azure Logic Apps, and Azure Storage, to build cloud-native APIs.
• Integrate APIs with both cloud-based and on-premises systems.
• Collaboration:
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, create request/response objects, and provide API solutions that support business needs.
• Work with the Infrastructure team to manage aspects of the Azure API Management (APIM) like App Registration, App Services, and certificates.
• Continuous Integration & Deployment:
  
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions for streamlined deployment of APIs to Azure.
• Automate testing and deployment processes to ensure smooth releases.
• API Security & Authentication:
  
• Implement OAuth2, JWT, and Azure Active Directory (AAD) to secure API endpoints.
• Apply encryption, data protection, and secure coding practices to safeguard APIs.
• Testing & Quality Assurance:
  
• Write unit, integration, and functional tests to ensure API functionality.
• Perform peer code reviews and apply test-driven development (TDD) practices.
• Performance Optimization:
  
• Monitor and optimize API performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and improve response times.
• Use Azure monitoring tools to track the health of APIs and resolve issues.
• Documentation:
  
• Write and maintain clear technical documentation for API endpoints, usage, and integration.
• Ensure up-to-date API specifications, such as Open API/Swagger.

Qualifications:

Experience:

• Proven experience as an API Developer or similar role with a strong focus on developing RESTful APIs (3+ years).
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Functions, API Management, and Azure Storage.
• Expertise in .NET technologies, including C# and ASP.NET Core.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of HTTP, REST, and JSON-based API development.
• Experience with Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD tools.
• Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration platforms (Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)).
• Understanding of authentication mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT, Azure Active Directory).

Cloud and Web Services:

• Experience in designing and deploying cloud-native applications in Azure.
• Familiarity with serverless architecture, microservices, and cloud-based data storage solutions.

Software Development Practices:

• Experience with version control systems (Git), unit testing frameworks, and agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of design patterns and best practices in software development, especially in a cloud environment.

Problem Solving:

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

Communication:

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with API management tools (e.g., Azure API Management).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms Azure.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
