Job Description
- Milton International School Kelambakkam is looking for IT Technician to join our dynamic team and embark on a rewarding career journey Technical Support: Provide first-line technical support to users via phone, email, or in-person to troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
- Hardware Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware components such as desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals
- Software Support: Install, update, and troubleshoot software applications, operating systems, and ensure proper licensing compliance
- Network Administration: Assist in network configuration, setup, and troubleshooting issues related to LAN, WAN, routers, switches, and wireless networks
- Security Management: Implement and maintain security measures such as antivirus software, firewalls, and data backup systems to protect against cybersecurity threats
- System Upgrades and Maintenance: Perform system upgrades, patches, and routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal system performance and security
- Documentation: Maintain records, documentation, and logs of IT systems, issues, resolutions, and configurations
- User Training: Provide basic IT training to users on software applications, security best practices, and IT policies
- Requirements:Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and software applications
- Troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues
- Familiarity with networking concepts, protocols, and basic cybersecurity practices
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with users to understand and resolve their IT concerns
