JR69458 Memory Module Validation and Verification Architect
Key Responsibilities:
1. Validation Strategy & Planning
Develop and implement end-to-end validation strategies for DIMMs, including functional, electrical, thermal, and stress testing.
Define validation requirements using Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and other advanced testing platforms.
Ensure comprehensive test coverage, including corner cases and real-world application scenarios.
2. Test Development & Execution
Utilize ATE platforms (e.g., Advantest, Teradyne) for high-throughput functional and parametric testing.
Perform electrical validation using tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers.
Conduct system-level testing with Intel based platforms (Raptor Lake, Archer city) to ensure interoperability and performance.
Validate power integrity (PI), signal integrity (SI), and timing parameters under varying conditions.
3. Debugging & Failure Analysis
Analyze test failures and lead root cause analysis to identify hardware, firmware, or system-level issues.
Provide feedback to design teams to improve hardware and firmware robustness.
4. Reliability & Stress Testing
Perform thermal and environmental stress testing to ensure DIMMs meet reliability and durability standards.
Conduct long-term aging and burn-in tests to identify potential failure mechanisms.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration
Collaborate with hardware design, firmware, and system engineering teams to ensure seamless validation.
Work with manufacturing and QA teams to implement production-level validation processes.
Think out of the box and Work with different teams to solve the customer issue.
6. Standards Compliance
Ensure compliance with industry standards such as DDR4, DDR5, LPDDR, and JEDEC specifications.
Stay updated on emerging memory technologies and integrate them into validation strategies.
7. Automation & Efficiency
Develop automated test frameworks and scripts (e.g., Python, Perl) to improve validation efficiency.
Leverage ATE and bench-level testing tools for automated and scalable test execution.
8. Documentation & Reporting
Create detailed validation reports, including test coverage, methodologies, and results.
Document lessons learned and best practices to improve future validation processes.
Testers & Tools Utilized:
Automated Test Equipment (ATE): Advantest, Teradyne, Chroma ATE for functional and parametric testing.
Signal and Power Integrity Tools: Oscilloscopes, TDR, VNA, power analyzers.
Protocol Analysis Tools: Logic analyzers, PCIe protocol analyzers, and DDR bus analyzers.
System-level Test Platforms: High-performance CPUs, GPUs, and memory test boards.
Environmental Testing Tools: Thermal chambers, vibration testers, and burn-in ovens.
Software Tools: Scripting languages (Python, Perl), EDA tools for simulation and debugging.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Electronics Engineering or related field.
15+ years of experience in DIMM validation, including hands-on experience with ATE platforms.
Strong understanding of DDR4/DDR5 memory technologies and JEDEC standards.
Expertise in SI/PI analysis, thermal testing, and reliability validation.
Proficiency with validation tools and scripting for automation.
