Full Stack Developer - Senior Software Engineer,1

Job Summary:

Were looking for a full time senior full stack developer with strong JavaScript experience to work with our publishing platforms special projects team, to help us build out the next generation of new applications that will drive content publishing and management at Dotdash Meredith. This team works on a variety of projects, focusing mainly on delivering the editorial tooling needs of specific brand-lead business initiatives. You will also work on building reusable and extendable components intended for broader use across multiple teams. You will be responsible for developing well-architected solutions that take full advantage of our existing frameworks and libraries while incorporating new technologies and best practices as needed. We are looking for someone with a passion for the web and its fast-moving ecosystem, that would also like to expand their skills.

Primary responsibilities:
1. Develop responsive and elegant SPA functionality with an eye toward streamlined UX, using HTML, Vue, and SCSS, as well as client- and server-side vanilla ES6.
2. Collaborate with a distributed, agile team of developers, product managers, QA, and designers
to meet business needs.
3. Drive technical progress on projects or feature builds to ensure our applications meet
performance requirements, are well maintained, and use the best technologies to meet
demands
4. Architect and execute complex feature builds from start to finish including technical design,
code-level implementation, and integration
5. Provide inputs to enhance code reviews, development syncs, whiteboard sessions and Agile
daily/weekly reviews
6. Build assertion tests and custom processes as part of continuous integration
release/deployment process
7. Ensure high-quality code requirements are met, in spite of tight schedules
8. Use strong technical expertise to lead technical conversations with a willingness to defend
rationale, participating in technical design, architecture, and code review processes
9. Make meaningful contributions to code reviews to ensure quality. Offer general technical
mentorship to team members and the wider community.
10. Help surface, track, and address technical debt

Required Skills

Mandatory Skills:
1. Engineering in B.E./ B. Tech/MCA Degree with 7 - 10 years of relevant experience
2. Good understanding of Javascript.
3. Experience with JavaScript frameworks for the client (Vue/ React/ Angular). Having experience with Vue is a plus.
4. Experience with server-side technologies in JavaScript (NestJs/Node.js + Express)
5. Experience working with APIs and REST-ful services
6. Comfortable using the tools of modern collaborative Agile+Scrum SDLC, including Git, Jira,
planning poker, etc
7. Able to troubleshoot complex issues independently and seek input from the team when stuck
8. Good communication skills.
9. Understanding of typescript.
10. Good understanding of the version control system, Bitbucket (git).

Good to Have:
1. Experience with AWS services like lambda, SNS, SQS, ApiGateway, test cases using jest.
2. Experience with Relational database (Mysql) and NoSQL Database.
3. Understanding of Agile methodology, Eslint for coding standards.
4. Working experience with swagger UI for API endpoints.
