Dotdash Meredith - Full Stack Developer - Vue.js/NestJS (2-4 yrs)

Job Summary :

This is an exciting opportunity for talented software engineers to support the building of the next-generation Digital Content Management platform. This platform provides our editorial teams with many features including content creation, layouts, social media support, video, and user generated content for our consumer experiences, and is critical to the business.

Primary responsibilities :

1. Technical Planning and time estimation of new projects

2. Build and implement advanced editorial workflows and content editing tools to provide users with a best-in-class editorial user experience

3. Develop robust custom modules supporting must-have features such as video, social, and affiliate integrations with an emphasis on Vue.js, work with in-house CMS.

4. Debug and troubleshoot In-house CMS issues and add new features in the same.

5. Provide inputs to enhance code reviews, development syncs, whiteboard sessions and Agile daily/weekly reviews

6. Build assertion tests and custom processes as part of continuous integration release/deployment process

7. Provide thorough and clear documentation for all services including screenshots and screencasts to assist product and QA in testing/planning features

8. Ensure high-quality code requirements are met, in spite of tight schedules

9. Collaborate closely with other engineers, product, QA team members, and editorial staff to define innovative ways to identify best practices, improve services and reduce costs.

Required Skills

Mandatory Skills :

1. Engineering in B.E./ B. Tech/MCA Degree with 2-4 years of relevant experience

2. Good understanding of Javascript.

3. Good knowledge of Node.js/NestJs, Vue.js, HTML, CSS, NoSQL Database.

4. Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOPs) concepts and project implementation

5. Good communication skills.

6. Understanding of typescript.

7. Good understanding of the version control system, Bitbucket (git).

Good to Have :

1. Basic understanding of authentication and authorization, API security, and Axios.

2. Understanding of AWS services like lambda, SNS, SQS, ApiGateway, test cases using jest.

3. Knowledge on Vue 3 / Vuetify./ Vue state management.

4. Knowledge on ReactJs.

5. Understanding of Agile methodology, Eslint for coding standards.

6. Working experience with postman or swagger UI for API endpoints.
