Meganexus - Senior DevOps Engineer - Configuration Management (6-10 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

- Collaborate with a talented team of engineers and an outcome-focused Product Team.

- Design and implement performance monitoring, log monitoring, and alerting solutions on

- Azure using open-source tools like Grafana and Prometheus.

- Monitor and optimize cloud costs for Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) while recommending cost-efficient cloud solutions.

- Architect, deploy, and automate highly available, secure, and scalable infrastructures using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar.

- Configure and manage Nginx, ensuring optimal performance and security.

- Develop dashboards for easy monitoring and reporting using tools like Grafana and Kibana.

- Manage and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and Jenkins.

- Administer Kubernetes clusters, ensuring efficient deployments, scaling, and security practices.

- Apply and enforce Web Application Firewall (WAF) policies and industry-standard security best practices.

- Create and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.

- Write and maintain automation scripts using Bash, PowerShell, or Python to improve operational efficiency.

- Support the migration of current products to Azure.

- Document processes, routine tasks, and incident resolutions in Confluence.

The Successful Candidate :

- Performance Monitoring: Hands-on experience with monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and Kibana.

- Cloud Cost Optimization: Proven expertise in managing and optimizing costs on Azure and GCP.

- Extensive Kubernetes Expertise: Cluster setup and management, advanced configuration management of deployments, services, ingresses, and SSL certificates.

- Strong proficiency in Nginx configuration and management.

- Experience with CI/CD pipeline management using GitLab and Jenkins.

- Deep understanding of containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.

- Proficient in scripting languages like Bash, PowerShell, and Python.

- Knowledge of networking, including load balancing, firewalls, and secure application design.

- Administration and maintenance of tools such as Sonatype Nexus, Portainer, Jira, and Confluence.

- Experience with relational databases such as MS-SQL, MySQL, and MariaDB.

- Knowledge of Azure federation services and key Azure services like Key Vault, API Management, and Service Bus.

Nice to Have :

- 6+ years' experience as a Dev/Ops engineer

- Security Expertise: Experience applying WAF policies and other security best practices.

- Familiarity with Maven, SonarQube, and Java-based service deployments.

- Understanding of microservices architectures and automated deployments for such systems.

- Infrastructure as Code: Hands-on experience with Vagrant, Terraform, and Ansible.

- Experience working in Agile environments using Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
