Job Description
- Track and report
- Business operational, product and financial news related to technology business in India, focused on listed companies and unicorns.
- Business operational and product news related to tech business in the rest of the world, that is relevant for India.
- Analyse business developments related to financial results and regulatory filings and present it in a concise and clear manner
- Interview key business stakeholders in tech
- Organise: Prepare questions, help identify speakers, live tweet and/or report on MediaNama events, apart from taking on additional responsibilities. You may also be required to host or moderate MediaNama events.
What we re looking for
- Location: Delhi. If you re not in Delhi, you re required to work from home, else you re expected to work at our office in (North) Delhi.
- Experience:
- 2-4 years of technology or business reporting experience.
- Experience in understanding financial documents is preferred.
- Preference would be given to candidates with online work experience.
- Promising candidates with limited experience may also be considered; your passion for technology domain and writing skills matters most.
- Interests: Interested in business developments related to Internet access, commerce, communications, social media, telecom, digital payments, gig economy etc. You need to be passionate about this domain and how it impacts the world.
- Skills
- A high standard of editorial judgment and writing ability.
- Excellent time management skills
- Proven experience in delivering a mix of news and features content.
- Excellent command of the English language.
- You need to have basic working knowledge of HTML, and familiarity with WordPress.
- Comfort with working cross-platform, whether Slack, WhatsApp and/or phone calls.
