Business Intelligence Engineer - Reporting & Dashboard Design (2-5 yrs)

Job Description :

We are seeking a talented and motivated BI Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality business intelligence solutions. You will work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable insights.

Duties and Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.

- Develop and implement DAX measures and calculations for complex data analysis.

- Leverage the Azure Tech Stack, including Data Studio and Synapse, for data integration and transformation.

- Perform BI engineering tasks, including data modeling, ETL processes, and data visualization.

- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.

- Ensure the performance, scalability, and maintainability of BI solutions.

- Conduct performance and load testing to identify and resolve bottlenecks.

- Adhere to Agile methodologies and participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint retrospectives.

- Provide Tier 2+ support for BI applications and resolve user issues.

- Conduct code/unit testing and participate in peer code reviews.

- Assist with application deployments, health monitoring, and alert setup.

- Demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor junior team members.

Key Skills :

- Power BI : Expert-level knowledge of Power BI Desktop and Service, including data modeling, DAX, and report creation.

- Azure Tech Stack : Strong understanding of Azure Data Studio, Synapse, and other relevant Azure services.

- BI Engineering : Solid foundation in data warehousing, ETL processes, and data visualization techniques.

- Technical Proficiency : Demonstrated expertise in SQL, data modeling, and data analysis.

- Development Best Practices : Experience with CI/CD pipelines, performance and load testing, and Agile methodologies.

- Communication and Collaboration : Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

- Problem-Solving : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
