The Supply Chain Manager develops and implements the Supply chain Strategy for the organization. They are also Responsible for the Inventory Management and Inventory Reduction .
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Performs all duties as assigned by the General Manager or Procurement Directors of the operating Companies. Identify and Develop sources for new products, items and/or materials. Implement the YOY cost reduction Strategy for the organization. Mange the Vendors and Improvement of the Vendors.
Lead a team of buyers and other professionals to ensure that procurement activities meet established targets and standards.
Manage Strategic Sourcing initiatives for region by developing new vendors through external market research, Spend/Process analysis, and supplier pre-qualification activities.
Conduct contract negotiation and management. Manage the Logistics for both Local and Imports. Manage the Stores.
Assist with creating a zero accident/safety first culture and identify and capitalize on areas where business can be improved.
Qualifications / Requirements:
Undergraduate degree required. Post-Graduate in Engineering, with diploma in Material Management or inventory Management - Preferred. 12-15 years related experience - preferably in machining, casting, forging area. Managerial Experience for 3-5 years. Must be knowledgeable of and comply with the Company s policies and procedures. Must have a continuous improvement mind set to make improvements and problem solving. Knowledge on ERP / MRP systems.
Desired Characteristics:
Knowledgeable on production systems and processes, and paper flow systems. Skilled in various areas of material, including shop floor control, planning, scheduling, expediting, and purchasing. Strong understanding of sourcing Steel Castings, Machined parts, and Plastic Injection Moulded parts a must. Should have exposure to Imports and Exports, Logistics, and stores Management. Work Arrangement : Onsite
