About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled Multimedia Engineer to join our team in Bangalore, India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Gstreamer, C++, and WebOS platform development, with a focus on multimedia technologies.

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-performance multimedia applications for LG's WebOS platform, leveraging your expertise in OpenMAX, FFmpeg, and V4L2 to deliver exceptional user experiences.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain multimedia applications for LG's WebOS platform, utilizing Gstreamer, C++, and V4L2.

- Optimize multimedia performance, ensuring efficient use of system resources and minimizing latency.

- Integrate third-party multimedia libraries and frameworks, such as FFmpeg and OpenMAX, into WebOS applications.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement multimedia features and functionalities.

- Troubleshoot and resolve multimedia-related issues, providing timely solutions.

- Stay updated on the latest multimedia technologies and industry trends.

Required Skills and Experience :

- Strong proficiency in C++ programming language.

- Deep understanding of Gstreamer framework and its components.

- Experience with WebOS platform development, including UI/UX design and application architecture.

- Knowledge of multimedia codecs, formats, and protocols (e.g., H.264, HEVC, AAC, MP3).

- Familiarity with V4L2 API for camera and video capture.

- Experience with OpenMAX IL and SL for hardware-accelerated multimedia processing.

- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

- A passion for multimedia technology and a desire to create innovative products.

Preferred Skills and Experience :

- Experience with FFmpeg for video processing and encoding.

- Knowledge of OpenGL ES for graphics rendering.

- Experience with cloud-based multimedia services.

- Contributions to open-source multimedia projects.
