This is a role with a combined responsibility of Government Relationship and compliance related to projects management. The ideal candidate must enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced business environment. He or she must be flexible to accommodate business requirements and experience in working with diverse groups and cultures. The candidate will have excellent communications skills. This position will lead Government relation with project team and research and monitor government program, schemes and activities that can affect or bring value to the organization. This role will be based in location of Project in central or northern part of India and open for relocation within India.
Government Relation Management :
- Establishing and maintaining a proactive relationship with Local, State, Central government and agencies working for government, be familiar with government operations and decision-making mechanisms, and master the personality and style to collaborate positively.
- Regularly communicate directly with lawmakers, government officials, regulators, and policy makers that may impact business to enhance reputation.
- Knowledge of financial rewards/rebates/subsidies of Local, State and Central government and strive for financial subsidies for the company and new establishment.
- Coordinate the issues encountered during the approval and processing of various certificates, licenses, and permits in the company, ensuring that the approval and processing are completed as quickly as possible.
- Identify and manage the GR risks, act as the liaison with government at the local level, represents the company to discuss at the local government level with regards to land delivery, permitting, operational needs, etc.
- In accordance with the overall strategy and principles of the company's external affairs, responsible for communicating with relevant departments of the government on major issues or matters such as projects, production, sales, environment, safety, procurement, personnel, and external publicity, and coordinating with relevant government departments to provide suggestions to the company.
- Supervising the communication between Company's project contractors and local government.
- Identify the key stakeholders and influencer of local government and build two way communication with government / agencies in accurate and timely manner.
- Provide advice to Project core team regarding to the interaction with local government.
- Collaborating with the events of brand promotion, exhibition, ceremony, etc.
- Be the contact person of local government in case any emergency happened during the project.
Knowledge/Experience :
- 12+ year experience in GR, Liaison, and compliance role.
- Extensive experience and knowledge of government policies related to industry and subsidies.
- Experience in working in or serving for a foreign or MNC company.
- Experience in government affairs or communication.
- Certain level understanding of Government working process and environment.
- Experienced in Green Field Project in FMCG industry is a plus.
- PMP or other professional project certificate is a plus.
- Business Software knowledge (MS apps, SAP, etc. - Strong presentation skills)
