Developed and implemented ESG Strategies, Procedure, Policies, and Standard for improvements of organization sustainability performance, Knowledge generation and dissemination. Contribute to integrating ESG issues with overall compliance and management information systems.
Develops and leads the implementation of a corporate level Environment and Social Management System in line with international standards including IFC performance standard and WB/IFC EHS guidelines. The system will include but will not be limited to the following plans and procedures:
a. Occupational Health & Safety (OHS)
b. Contractor Management
c. Emergency preparedness and response
d. Supply Chain management
Lead and coordinate IFC performance Standard and ESG compliance and provide operational coordination and specific inputs to project teams to ensure compliance during project preparation and implementation. Contribute to the evaluation, improvement, and dissemination of IFC performance standard across the health and safety team and more broadly across the organisation.
Lead in identifying and resolving ESG issues, undertaking environment and social due diligence prior to site selection for project development, participating in selected due diligence missions. Provides guidance in relation to ESG matters and risk mitigation for new projects by helping undertake due diligence and defining ESG risk mitigation strategies.
Enhanced social performance of Company by formulation & implementation of robust Stake holder engagement plan, Grievance Mechanism & monitoring through periodical review. Lead in responding to ESG documentation/reporting requirements of investors, communicating regularly with investors and ensuring consistency in data collection.
Identify material issues/ risks related to ESG by conducting the stakeholder engagement, grievance management and prepare the risk management framework.
Review and scrutinize the sustainable initiatives related projects/ activities proposals and recommend the appropriate to the top management for approval.
Design, execute and evaluate pilot projects or programs to enhance the sustainability performance. Identify training or other development opportunities for building capacities. Conducts/coordinates trainings in areas such as safety laws and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring and use of safety equipment for workers and site supervisors.
Conduct review meetings with the sustainability committees as per the guidelines of Sustainability Charter to get approvals, suggestions and presenting the approved outcomes to the Board. Supports in establishing an ESG committee to address environmental, development impact and social/community and governance issues and coordinates regular meetings. Monitors E&S issues and reports them to the Impact Committee, Board of Directors, the broader Company and external stakeholders as needed in collaboration with relevant personnel.
Coordinate and finalize disclosures as per GRI, DJSI, CDP, SBTi, TCFD, MSCI, as applicable to Lohum.Being responsible for managing the site-level health and safety supervisors and overseeing their work.Work closely with the Health & Safety representatives.
