Key skills for the job
1. **Motion Graphics Development**:
- Create visually stunning motion graphics and animations for in-game elements, UI, promotional materials, and cinematics.
- Design and implement dynamic visual effects that align with the projects artistic vision and technical requirements.
2. **Integration and Optimization**:
- Collaborate closely with artists and engineers to integrate motion graphics into the game engine, ensuring optimal performance across platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to performance, asset compatibility, and rendering.
3. **Pipeline and Tools Development**:
- Develop and refine production pipelines and tools to streamline motion graphics asset creation and integration.
- Build and maintain custom scripts and plugins to enhance workflow efficiency, using scripting languages (Python, MEL).
4. **Shader and Visual Effect Creation**:
- Design and optimize shaders and materials tailored to the motion graphics style, ensuring visual impact without compromising performance.
- Collaborate with technical teams to create visual effects (VFX) assets, enhancing interactivity and immersion.
5. **Cross-Department Collaboration**:
- Act as a liaison between animation, art, and programming teams to ensure motion graphics assets meet both creative and technical standards.
- Provide technical support to the creative team, offering guidance on best practices for motion graphics integration and optimization.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**:
- **Technical Proficiency**:
- Expertise in industry-standard motion graphics software (e.g., After Effects, Cinema 4D) and 3D tools (Maya, Blender).
- Solid experience with game engines (Unity, Unreal Engine), with an understanding of asset import processes, rendering, and performance profiling.
- **Scripting and Shader Knowledge**:
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, MEL, or C#, especially for workflow automation and tool creation.
- Experience in shader programming and visual effects creation, with familiarity in Shader Graph, HLSL, or GLSL.
- **Artistic and Motion Graphics Skills**:
- Strong portfolio demonstrating motion graphics work in a technical or interactive environment, with solid knowledge of design principles, timing, and visual storytelling.
**Education and Experience**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Graphics, Motion Graphics, Animation, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a technical artist role with a focus on motion graphics or visual effects for interactive media
