Lifesight - Engineering Manager (8-12 yrs)

Position Overview:

- We are looking for an Engineering leader to be part of the strategic team contributing to key decisions on the direction of the platform and its growth.

- You will play a key role in solving some of the key technical challenges and building some of the core components from scratch.

- A successful candidate will be a self-starter, who drives excellence, is ready to jump into a variety of technologies and languages, and is able to coordinate and collaborate with other engineers, as well as mentor other engineers in the team.

Our Team:

- We are looking for a bright and result-oriented Engineering Manager to join our core technology team.

- The role involves building complex next-generation products used by our customers and architecting solutions to support new technical and business initiatives.

What you'll do:

- Own and operate, high-scale cloud-based systems and services and provide technical leadership

- Take end-to-end ownership of the design and implementation of core product functionality and key technical initiatives.

- Collaborate with Designers, Product Managers, and Engineers. Manage, design, execute, and take complete responsibility for the delivery of software products

- Help the team translate the business requirements into R&D tasks

- Work with business groups (Product team and to an extent with Growth & Marketing team) to outline the high-level to low-level Technology roadmap and project deliverables

- Tailor processes to help manage time-sensitive issues and bring them to appropriate closure

- Engage and manage a team of highly talented technologists, and aid in their grow professionally with regular mentoring

Requirements What you'll need:

- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science with 8+ years of experience

- Demonstrated track record of end-to-end delivery of enterprise-grade distributed software systems

- Strong technology acumen, knowledge of software engineering processes, design knowledge, and architecture intelligence

- Well-versed and hands-on experience with Java (8+, we are using Java 17), Spring boot, designing APIs, Microservices, and Message/Event-driven architecture style and strong fundamentals over building distributed systems- project management skills to ensure high-quality and timely solution delivery

- Attention to detail and quality, and the ability to work well in and across teams and features

- Ability to advocate & influence multiple stakeholders, reasoning and debating around choices

- Ability to learn new domains and deliver output

- The candidate should have strong problem-solving skills as well as a demonstrated passion for technology.
