Role Overview :

As a Lead Data Engineer, you will drive the design, development, and deployment of scalable data engineering solutions. You will lead a team of data professionals, work with advanced Azure tools and technologies, and ensure the successful delivery of high-impact big data projects. Your role will require a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and problem-solving capabilities to help businesses unlock the potential of their data.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of complex data engineering solutions.

- Provide technical guidance to ensure best practices in data processing, storage, and management.

- Manage the end-to-end delivery of major big data projects, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.

- Design and implement data solutions using Azure Cloud storage, blob storage, SQL databases, and REST APIs.

- Build and optimize data lakehouse architectures with Databricks and Azure Data Factory (ADF).

- Develop high-performance data solutions using Scala (mandatory) or Python (optional).

- Write and optimize complex SQL queries for large-scale data processing and analysis.

- Solve complex data challenges with innovative and scalable solutions.

- Identify opportunities to optimize processes and improve system efficiency.

- Mentor and lead a team of data engineers, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.

Key Skills in Focus :

- Proficiency in Scala (mandatory) with optional expertise in Python as a plus.

- Strong SQL skills for querying, transformation, and data analysis.

- Extensive experience in designing and implementing complex data pipelines and workflows.

- Proven success in delivering at least one major big data project to production.

- Advanced knowledge of Azure Cloud services, including blob storage, SQL databases, and REST APIs.

- Expertise in Databricks for scalable, production-grade data lakehouse solutions.

- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) for data integration and orchestration.

- Strong leadership skills to manage and mentor a team of engineers.

- Ability to align team efforts with organizational goals and deliver quality results.

- Proven ability to tackle complex data challenges with innovative and efficient solutions.

- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
