Prt Art Class Teacher

We are looking for a passionate and creative Primary Teacher (PRT) Art to join our school. The ideal candidate will inspire and engage young students in the exploration of various artistic mediums and techniques, fostering creativity, self-expression, and appreciation for the arts. As a Primary Art Teacher, you will be responsible for creating an enriching and interactive art curriculum, guiding students to develop their artistic skills, and encouraging their imagination.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement engaging art lessons for primary school students (Grades 1 to 5).

Introduce students to various forms of art, including drawing, painting, sculpture, crafts, and digital art.

Plan and deliver lessons that promote creativity, critical thinking, and an appreciation for art and design.

Ensure lessons align with the school’s educational goals and the developmental needs of students.

Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.

Maintain order in the classroom and ensure safety protocols are followed while using art materials.

Manage classroom resources effectively, ensuring that students have access to the materials they need for their art projects.

Encourage active participation and collaboration among students.

Assess students' progress through observation, portfolio reviews, and practical assignments.

Provide constructive feedback to students to enhance their artistic skills and foster their personal growth.

Recognize and encourage individual artistic talents and creativity.

Track and report on students’ progress and provide updates to parents during parent-teacher meetings.

Coordinate and contribute to the organization of school art exhibitions, events, and competitions.

Showcase students’ artwork within the school and at community events.

Encourage students to participate in art-related extracurricular activities and contests.

Collaborate with other teachers to integrate art into other subjects, enhancing cross-curricular learning.

Participate in school meetings, professional development workshops, and training programs.

Share ideas and innovations with colleagues to enhance the overall teaching and learning experience.

Foster a love of art in students by providing opportunities for hands-on learning and creativity.

Organize activities like art clubs, after-school workshops, or field trips to art galleries or museums.

Encourage students to experiment with different art techniques and materials to develop their unique style.

Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assignments, and assessments.

Prepare reports for the school management and participate in parent-teacher conferences.

Ensure that art supplies and equipment are well-maintained and requisitioned as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Educational Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field.

A Bachelor’s in Education (B.Ed) is preferred.
