Job Description
Endoscopy Technician
QUALIFICATION:
- Any Bachelor Degree + Endoscopy Technician Course
EXPERIENCE:
- 0 1 year
- Hospital experience preferred
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain and use equipment and supplies necessary to demonstrate portions of the human body on screen for diagnostic purposes.
- Position patient on examining table and set up and adjust equipment to obtain optimum view of specific reading as requested by physician.
- Determine patient s needs by reading requests or instructions from physicians.
- Prepare and set up room for patient.
- Assure that sterile supplies, materials, and other required equipment are present and in working order, requisitioning materials as necessary.
- Provide assistance to physicians or other technologists in the performance of more complex procedures.
- Monitor equipment operation and report malfunctioning equipment to supervisor.
- Provide assistance in pharmaceutical administration and monitoring patient s vital signs and notifying the physician of any relevant changes.
- Any other work/responsibility assigned by the HOD/Management in the course of business/work whether within the same unit/dept or any other unit/dept from time to time
