German Translator

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate medical reports, patient records, hospital documents, and communication materials from German to English and vice versa.
• Assist in real-time interpretation for German-speaking patients during doctor consultations, hospital visits, and virtual meetings.
• Guide patients by explaining medical procedures, treatment plans, and travel arrangements in German.
• Support the customer service team by responding to inquiries from German-speaking clients via email, chat, and phone.
• Work closely with hospitals, doctors, and medical coordinators to ensure accurate translation of medical information.
• Maintain cultural sensitivity and confidentiality while handling patient information.
• Proofread and edit translated materials to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with medical terminology.

Requirements:

• Fluency in German and English (both written and spoken).
• Bachelors degree in Translation, Linguistics, German Language, or a related field (preferred).
• Experience in translation, medical interpretation, or healthcare support (preferred).
• Basic understanding of medical terminology and healthcare processes.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to assist international patients.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Proficiency in translation tools, Microsoft Office, and CRM systems.
