Job Description

Deliver and accomplish the assigned project / work package on time with good quality, cost effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
Ensure technical deliverables matches project / work package requirements. Save engineering cost for project team through application and technical expertise.
Ensure site activities are completed as desired by customer and in specified time frame.

He / she will report to Team Lead/Execution Manager.

Your Responsibilities:

Fine to travel frequently at site and troubleshoot/ rectify the issues across India and overseas.
Deliver and accomplish the assigned projects on time with good quality/ cost effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
Must provide process domain guidelines and solutions following the industry standards.
You are required to work with the Project Managers in the region for delivering the project engineering services through WBS development and management.
Lead technical implementation in whole life cycle of project delivery,
You are required to manage / oversee / monitor and implement the complete project execution.
To Manage multiple project deliveries with the complete process adherence, meeting or improving quality requirements with all the possible value additions.
Coach other project engineers.
Participate in resolving escalations related to GEC engineering execution and collaborate with the GEC Engagement Manager and regional stakeholders for proper closure including lesson learnt sessions.
Provide support to the regions on any large project pursuits.
Ensure escalation wherever required to the right stakeholders for the benefit of the project execution.
Keep improving self-engineering capabilities and exchange best practice with other team members to improve teams capabilities.
Support Team Leader on technical issues.
Work with Team Leader to guarantee customer acceptance.
Maximise reusable standard product and engineering in project delivery.
Work with Team Leader to manage technical risk in project.
Work with Team Leader to clarify technical issues.
Cost reduction through process and manufacturing improvement, and through development of reusable engineering or engineering standard.
Work with Team Leader to achieve customer acceptance. Demonstrate application and technical expertise to achieve repeat order and retain customer satisfaction.

Job Related Competencies:

Configuration and programming of automation and control systems involving HMI and PLC / DCS.
Must have a working knowledge of CLX/SLC/PLC5 for development, troubleshooting, communication and its integrated testing with RA or Third-Party PLC.
Knowledge of PIDs, System Architecture, IO list, Design Documentation for Process Applications.
Development of HMI, SCADA Software for Rockwell Systems, or any other Competitors.
Must have experience in HMI, SCADA development of the Allen Bradley, FactoryTalk View application (Local, Network (Station/ Distributed), ME).
Must be familiar with FTView Architecture of application (Area, Data server, HMI server) HMI Alarm/Alarm and Event server.
Must be familiar with tagging conventions, Security, Global object development, Datalog Model, VBA scripting, Recipe, Trends, Reports, Communication, and Integrated testing with PLC (CLX/SLC/PLC5) or Third-party PLC.
Must have working knowledge of data communication through OPC protocol.
Good understanding of Phase-based logic development.
Rich Experience with Batching application with Batch Software (FT Batch).
Good Working Experience with Chemical Industry Applications.
Working Knowledge on FT Historian, AssetCentre, Reporting will be added advantage.
Design and Engineering of Process PLC Systems / Control Systems.
Ability to handle the project starting from Design till site commissioning.
Must have a good understanding about process and any regulations point of view.
Has ability to adopt to changing needs and identify any risk as well in the projects at an early stage.
High level of expertise in Integrated Architecture, Standard Drives, Safety Product, Component Industry Control, Networks, and an understanding of Rockwell Softwares.
Well versed with preparation of Functional Design Specification, Detail Design specification, Test protocol including pre-FAT / FAT protocol, SAT protocols.
Must be open for travel for FAT, SAT, Commissioning at customer site.
High level of expertise in Industry Knowledge, Application Knowledge, Training Skills, and basic understanding of Project Management, Lean Six Sigma Skill, EHS (Environment, Health and Safety).
Knowledge of programming languages (C#, VB .net, Python, XML) will be added advantage.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS / WORK EXPERIENCE:

Bachelors in Electrical /Instrumentation / Control / Electronics.
10+ years of relevant experience in automation engineering (Rockwell - Control Logix, PLC5, Compact Logix).
Hands-on experience in designing, execution selection of industrial automation products such as PLC/DCS, VFD, HMI/SCADA, Panel Design, Industrial communication (Ethernet, Profibus, Controlnet, and Modbus).
Must have gone through complete project life cycle from design phase to commissioning.
Knowledge of AB Hardware Quality Management Systems and Review.
