Senior Pimcore Specialist - OOPS/Design Patterns (5-6 yrs)

Role Description :

Javin is seeking a Senior Pimcore Specialist Developer to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for back-end web development, software development, and programming tasks. You will work extensively with Pimcore, leveraging your knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and your ability to deliver high-quality, efficient, and scalable solutions.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will work with a team to ensure that projects are developed in a timely manner, meeting all quality standards and requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

- Work with Pimcore CMS to design, develop, and implement scalable backend solutions and web applications.

- Contribute to the architecture and development of Pimcore-based solutions for various clients, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.

- Build and maintain Pimcore-based systems, with a focus on API integration, data models, and service-oriented architectures.

- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.

- Utilize OOP principles to develop high-quality, modular, and reusable code.

- You should be familiar with SOLID design principles and other industry standards to ensure code maintainability and scalability.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, project managers, and designers, to ensure the backend and frontend systems integrate seamlessly and deliver a smooth user experience.

- Contribute to project lifecycle activities, from understanding business requirements to the design and implementation of solutions.

- Ensure that projects are completed within the defined timelines and budgets.

- Work within Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban to deliver incremental and iterative development.

- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and other Agile ceremonies.

- Ensure that the developed systems meet quality assurance standards.

- Write unit tests, perform integration testing, and work with QA teams to deliver bug-free software.

- Stay updated with the latest technologies, trends, and best practices in Pimcore and related technologies.

- Implement new solutions and practices to improve overall system performance and code quality.

Education :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Experience :

- 5+ years of experience in back-end development or a similar role, with significant experience working specifically with Pimcore.

- 3+ years of experience in Pimcore development, including experience with Pimcore CMS, Pimcore PIM, and Pimcore E-commerce modules.

- Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.

Technical Skills :

- Expertise in Pimcore development and architecture.

- Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, and MongoDB.

- Experience working with RESTful APIs and web services.

- Familiarity with Symfony, Twig, and other PHP frameworks.

- Knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React or Angular (a plus).

- Familiarity with version control systems (e., Git).

- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automation testing, and related DevOps tools.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills :

- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills with the ability to identify bottlenecks and optimize code for maximum efficiency.

- Analytical mindset and the ability to break down complex problems into manageable tasks.

Project Lifecycle Knowledge :

- Strong understanding of the entire project lifecycle-from requirements gathering to design, development, and maintenance.

- Experience with project estimation and planning.
