Job Title : Documentum Java Developer

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Documentum Java Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in designing, developing, and managing Documentum-based solutions, with a strong command of Java. The role involves working on enterprise-level content management systems, enhancing existing applications, and ensuring seamless integration with various systems while adhering to best practices and standards.

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Develop, customize, and maintain Documentum-based content management applications.

- Build and optimize workflows, lifecycles, and repositories in Documentum.

- Create and manage content storage, retrieval, and archiving processes.

- Design and implement backend services and integrations using Java and J2EE technologies.

- Collaborate with the team to build robust APIs for content management and application integration.

- Debug and optimize Java applications to ensure performance and scalability.

- Integrate Documentum solutions with third-party tools, enterprise applications, and external systems.

- Customize Documentum Webtop, D2, and xCP applications to meet specific business needs.

- Implement RESTful and SOAP-based web services for application interoperability.

- Work with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server) to ensure seamless data handling and storage.

- Optimize queries, triggers, and stored procedures to enhance performance.

- Prepare technical specifications, user guides, and operational documentation for the developed solutions.

- Maintain version control and ensure adherence to software development life cycle (SDLC) processes.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, and QA teams.

- Provide support for issue resolution, performance tuning, and application troubleshooting.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Strong hands-on experience with Documentum products like D2, xCP, Webtop, and DFS.

- Proficiency in Java, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, and related frameworks.

- Expertise in building and consuming REST/SOAP web services.

- In-depth understanding of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) principles and methodologies.

- Experience in managing metadata, security models, and document lifecycles.

- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases like Oracle or SQL Server.

- Familiarity with deployment and build tools like Jenkins, Maven, or Gradle.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex technical challenges.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Certification in Documentum or Java technologies is a plus.

- Familiarity with cloud-based deployments and microservices architecture.

- Experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
