We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Manager of Technology Sales to join our sales team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of technology products and services, with a strong ability to drive sales growth, develop client relationships, and lead a team to achieve ambitious sales targets. As the Manager of Technology Sales, you will be responsible for managing the sales cycle, cultivating relationships with key decision-makers, and ensuring the successful positioning of technology solutions to meet client needs.

The Manager will work closely with the sales team, product teams, and senior leadership to develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy in a highly competitive market, with a particular focus on growing our technology solution offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and execute the sales strategy for the technology solutions portfolio, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Identify new business opportunities within target industries, building a robust pipeline of potential clients.
  • Set clear, measurable goals and sales targets for the team, and drive performance to achieve and exceed these goals.
  • Work with senior leadership to forecast sales and report on sales activities, achievements, and challenges.

2. Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including C-level executives, IT decision-makers, and business leaders.
  • Understand clients' business challenges and technological needs, positioning the company’s solutions as the right fit for their requirements.
  • Manage complex, multi-phase sales processes from initial contact through to closing, ensuring a smooth handoff to implementation and support teams.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients, ensuring both profitability and customer satisfaction.

3. Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to improve team performance.
  • Develop individual performance plans and provide regular feedback to ensure continuous skill development and achievement of targets.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment, ensuring open communication and sharing of best practices within the sales team.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews to align the team with sales objectives and product offerings.

4. Sales Process Management:

  • Oversee and optimize the end-to-end sales process, ensuring efficient lead generation, qualification, and closure of opportunities.
  • Use CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) to manage and track sales activities, opportunities, and performance metrics.
  • Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance data to senior leadership.
  • Ensure the sales team adheres to defined sales processes, methodologies, and compliance standards.

5. Market and Product Expertise:

  • Stay current on industry trends, market conditions, and competitive offerings to effectively position the company’s technology solutions.
  • Work closely with product management teams to ensure sales teams are well-versed in the technical aspects, features, and benefits of the company’s offerings.
  • Provide input to product teams based on client feedback and market demands, helping to shape future product development.

6. Sales Presentations and Proposals:

  • Lead high-level sales presentations and demonstrations for key prospects and clients, effectively communicating the value of technology solutions.
  • Collaborate with the pre-sales and technical teams to develop tailored proposals, solutions, and presentations that address specific client needs.
  • Handle customer objections and provide consultative solutions to overcome challenges, ensuring successful deal closure.

7. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:

  • Work closely with marketing, technical support, product development, and other internal teams to align sales strategies with company-wide initiatives and ensure the smooth delivery of solutions to customers.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop sales collateral, campaigns, and strategies that resonate with target markets.
  • Ensure timely handovers to implementation and support teams to ensure smooth onboarding and customer satisfaction post-sale.

8. Performance Reporting and Continuous Improvement:

  • Track, analyze, and report on sales team performance, identifying areas of improvement and implementing strategies to optimize performance.
  • Set up and track KPIs, conversion rates, and other relevant sales metrics to ensure success and growth.
  • Provide insights to senior leadership on trends, challenges, and opportunities in the technology sales landscape.
