Job Title: Technical Lead/ Director Experience Location : India/ Malaysia
Role Summary
The Technical Lead/Director Experience will provide strategic and hands-on leadership for the technical execution of critical, large-scale projects at Irdeto. This role is the pivotal point of technical interaction between Irdeto and the customer organisation for these projects. The role involves overseeing architectural decisions, guiding the engineering team, ensuring technical alignment with project objectives, and collaborating with solution owners, business analysts, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and robust solutions as per the customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Leadership and Alignment
Ensure that the technical relationship with the customer is managed and maintained in a structured, clear and responsive manner
Create an alignment between the diverse technical stakeholders within the customer organization and various entities across Irdeto and its partners involved in project delivery
Be the trusted voice of authority on matters of technical scope, approach, challenge, architecture
Technical Leadership and Strategy
Define and maintain the technical architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and alignment with organizational standards.
Provide thought leadership and technical guidance to the development team throughout the project lifecycle.
Make key technical decisions, balancing project requirements, timelines, and resource availability.
Ensure alignment between the needs of the project and Irdeto s wider solution strategy
Project Planning and Execution
Collaborate with project managers to develop detailed technical plans, timelines, and deliverables.
Oversee the technical implementation of requirements, ensuring high-quality code, system performance, and adherence to standards.
Manage 3rd party technical interfaces to ensure alignment towards common technical goals
Identify potential technical risks, bottlenecks, and dependencies, and develop mitigation strategies.
Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success and ensure that deliverables are completed within scope, on time, and to the expected quality standards.
Team Management and Collaboration
Lead and mentor the technical project team members ensuring skill development and knowledge sharing within the team - both internal and external.
Work closely with business analysts to ensure requirements are clear, feasible, and aligned with technical capabilities.
Foster collaboration between development, QA, and DevOps teams for smooth project execution.
Collaborate closely with Solution owners to ensure that the Solution approach is adhered to, while contributing positively to the Solution strategy
Stakeholder Engagement
Act as the technical point of contact for stakeholders, providing updates on progress, challenges, and solutions.
Translate technical concepts into business language for non-technical stakeholders.
Ensure technical decisions align with broader business objectives and stakeholder expectations.
Required Skills and Competencies
Technical Expertise
Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
Deep understanding of system architecture, cloud technologies, design patterns, and integration processes.
Proficiency with platforms and DevOps best practices.
Leadership and Communication
Proven ability to lead and motivate development teams to meet tight deadlines and deliverables.
Strong decision-making skills with the ability to balance technical and business priorities.
Excellent communication skills for engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking
Ability to foresee potential technical issues and devise innovative solutions.
Adept at troubleshooting complex systems and resolving critical technical challenges.
Qualifications
Education : Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (Master s preferred).
Experience : 10+ years in software development with at least 3 years in a leadership or architect role.
Preferred Experience
8+ years of solution leadership or relevant experience, preferably within the streaming, OTT and PayTV media industry.
Strong leadership and technical skills in driving profitable growth and market success.
Expertise in the technical domains of video distribution spanning both broadcast and streaming media
Prior experience leading large-scale, multi-stakeholder technical projects.
Experience in managing dependencies between multiple teams and external vendors.
Cyber Services industry knowledge (Bonus)
