Job Description
- Shopify Store Development: Build, customize, and enhance Shopify stores, including designing themes, implementing new features, and modifying existing ones.
- Custom Development: Develop custom Shopify apps and integrations using Shopify API, Liquid templating, and third-party services to enhance the store s functionality.
- Shopify Plus: Work with Shopify Plus features like Script Editor, Flow, and Launchpad to create customized enterprise-level solutions.
- Performance Optimization: Ensure the speed, scalability, and efficiency of the Shopify store by identifying bottlenecks and implementing optimization techniques.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with designers, project managers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Testing & Debugging: Conduct thorough testing, including unit, functional, and performance tests to ensure the stability of the store. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise.
- App Integrations: Integrate third-party apps and tools to extend the functionality of the Shopify store.
- Code Review & Documentation: Review code for quality assurance, maintain clean and scalable code, and document processes and workflows.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in Shopify development, including Shopify Liquid templating and app development.
- Languages: Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and jQuery.
- Shopify API: Extensive experience with the Shopify API and Shopify Plus.
- Front-End Frameworks: Knowledge of front-end frameworks such as React or Vue.js is a plus.
- App Development: Proficiency in developing custom Shopify apps (private or public) using technologies like Node.js or Ruby.
- Version Control: Strong experience with Git for version control and collaboration.
- Performance: Understanding of web performance optimization, SEO best practices, and responsive design.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for debugging and troubleshooting.
- Collaboration: Ability to work in a collaborative environment, contributing to project discussions and offering insights to improve functionality.
- Experience with other eCommerce platforms such as Magento, WooCommerce, or BigCommerce.
- Familiarity with Headless Shopify development.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
