The primary responsibility of these interns would be to assist in .
Questionnaire-based household surveys in the Nilgiris Landscape (current requirement for Kerala and Tamil Nadu).
Ecosystem services assessment (bio-physical).
Stakeholder identification among community and contact building.
Support the team in conducting Focused Group Discussions with community.
Collate, clean and analyze data as required.
Any other research tasks assigned by IORA.
Required Skills Include.
Pursuing/completing/completed a Masters degree in Forestry, Environmental Management, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Planning, or related disciplines from a reputed university/institute..
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to coordinate with different state government officials..
Candidate must be fluent in spoken and written communication in Tamil, and/or Malayalam language.
MUST carry an android based phone for app based data entry of Questionnaire surveys.
Candidate should have experience working with MS Office (Doc, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and statistical software..
