We are looking for a dynamic and driven Business Development Executive to be the face of Ionic to our prospective customers. In this role, youll be responsible for driving business growth and managing key client relationships, working closely with our Sales team to introduce our cutting-edge Cloud Services and Cyber Security Solutions. Youll help customers realize the potential of Cloud Platforms and understand the critical importance of Cyber Security. As a vital part of our team, youll collaborate with the engineering team to stay ahead of industry trends and devise enhancements to our Cloud products.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Generation: Proactively generate leads through cold calling, email campaigns, events, and more, identifying strong potential prospects using creativity and initiative.
Client Engagement: Assess and analyze prospects current processes and requirements, using your insight to match them with the best possible solutions.
Overcoming Challenges: Work with the Sales and Engineering teams to identify and qualify business opportunities, addressing and overcoming key technical objections and roadblocks.
Technical Relationship Management: Manage and nurture the technical relationship with customers, including product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and coordinating additional technical resources as needed.
Product Demonstrations: Work hands-on with customers to demonstrate and prototype Cloud product integrations within their environments, showcasing the real-world impact of our solutions.
Solution Recommendation: Advise on integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructures necessary for implementing comprehensive solutions using best practices in Cloud technology.
Industry Representation: Travel to customer sites, conferences, and related events, representing Ionic and advocating for our services and solutions.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Technical Expertise: Relevant experience as a technical sales engineer in a cloud computing environment or equivalent customer-facing role (including professional services or systems engineering experience).
Cloud Knowledge: A solid understanding of Cloud, PaaS, and IaaS technologies with hands-on experience in networking concepts (routing, VPNs, load balancers, firewalls) and cybersecurity practices.
Presentation Skills: Experience in delivering technical pitches and presentations, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.
Problem-Solving: A strong problem solver who can quickly learn and adapt to new technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the Cloud and IT technology space.
Leadership & Management: Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with a strategic mindset and the ability to think analytically.
Communication: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities, with the capability to work under pressure and manage multiple clients simultaneously.
Adaptability: Flexibility to take on new challenges and seize opportunities as they arise.
