Inventia Technology - SQL Developer - Design & Maintenance (5-7 yrs)

Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced Senior SQL Developer to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SQL databases and applications.

You will collaborate closely with business analysts, software engineers, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver efficient database solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities :

- B. Tech/MCA in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

- Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server databases and data warehouses.

- Optimize and tune SQL queries to ensure optimal performance.

- Develop and implement ETL processes to load data into the database from various sources.

- Create stored procedures, views, functions, and triggers to support application development.

- Collaborate with software engineers to integrate SQL databases with applications.

- Perform database schema changes and updates as required.

- Ensure data integrity and security in all database solutions.

- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues.

- Develop and maintain documentation related to database design, processes, and procedures.

- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance as needed.

Qualification and Skills :

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

- 5+ years of experience as a MS SQL Developer or Database Developer.

- Strong experience with MS SQL Server (versions 2019 and above) and proficiency in T-SQL programming.

- Expertise in database design, implementation, and maintenance.

- Experience with performance tuning and optimization techniques (indexing, query optimization, etc.)

- Solid understanding of ETL processes and tools (e. , SSIS, Informatica).

- Familiarity with data modelling techniques (OLTP and OLAP).

- Experience in designing and developing complex SQL queries and stored procedures.

- Knowledge of database security best practices.

- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Good to have experience in PostgreSQL Database.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
