Design Draughtsman - Job Description

Position Overview We are seeking an entry-level Design Draftsman to join our valve manufacturing company. This role is ideal for candidates with an ITI qualification with 0-1 year of experience who are eager to support our engineering and design department. Freshers with a strong interest in technical drafting are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed technical drawings using Auto CAD, Solid Edge.
• Convert engineering concepts and sketches into precise technical drawings.
• Prepare assembly and component drawings for valve designs.
• Maintain organized records of drawings and design documents.
• Assist senior engineers with design modifications and improvements.
• Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and specifications.
• Support production teams by providing accurate technical documentation.

Required Qualifications

• ITI certification in Drafting, Mechanical, Design, or a related field.
• 0-1 year of experience in technical drafting (freshers are welcome).
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Solid Edge, or similar).
• Basic understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles.
• Knowledge of valves or industrial components is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
• Good communication skills.

Additional Skills Preferred

Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes.

Understanding of piping systems and components.

Familiarity with quality standards in manufacturing.

Basic computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
