Role Responsibility

Innocap SQL Server DBA is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of SQL Server databases. The Key roles and responsibilities of a SQL Server DBA include:

• Extensive experience working with SQL Server 2016 above versions
• Monitoring and Performance Tuning
• Should support Production issues on need basis and Lower environment support.
• Experience on Modern Azure technologies.
• Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.

• Responsible in performance troubleshooting and using SQL Profiler, Extended Events
• Expertise and hands on with HA/DR solutioning such as Always ON, Replication
• Knowledge and practical experience with: PowerShell scripting and Always on Availability Group troubleshooting
• Good exposure on large size database (more than 5 TB) with very high concurrency
  
• Prod DB Support activities: Should have knowledge on monitoring tools, troubleshooting slowness, Review of database health and initiation of corrective action.

Must Have Skill Set

• 5-8 Years of experience in the same Feild
• Experience in working with Azure SQL VMs Azure SQL Database and DB Migration strategies from IaaS to PaaS.
• Should have strong knowledge of Database Backup Recovery, Logins permissions and best practices in a high-availability environment.
• Experience with DB space management and timely archival and partitioning concepts. Automating the process wherever required.
• Should have strong knowledge of SQL Server Databases and SQL clusters in Azure.
• Good communication skill - written and verbal.
• Should be a self-motivated and a team player

Nice to Have Skill Set

• Knowledge on Azure SQL database modernization technologies such as hyperscale, Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Factory will be added on.
• Hands on working experience in PaaS environments.
• Exposure to Banking domain
• Microsoft Fabric, SSIS, Azure Data factory, MongoDB, DMA, Azure Migration Services

Qualification

• B.E. Computer Science or B.Tech. Information Technology
• Experience in SQL server DBA in Azure platform.
• Azure Certification
