Job Description
- Collaborate with the development team to understand software requirements and develop detailed test cases and test plans.
- Execute test cases, document test results, and identify, isolate, and report defects using issue tracking systems.
- Conduct functional, regression, and integration testing to validate software functionality and performance.
- Write and execute automation test cases, ensuring thorough test coverage and efficient execution.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose software issues, providing detailed bug reports and working with the team to resolve issues.
- Participate in the analysis of test results, contribute to defect root cause analysis, and propose solutions.
- Continuously learn and stay up-to-date with industry-standard testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software products.
- Contribute to the improvement of the testing process and the implementation of quality assurance best practices.
- High attention to detail to identify even the smallest defects and inconsistencies.
- Conduct smoke, functional, regression, sanity, and acceptance testing to validate software functionality and performance.
Qualifications:
- B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech/MCA with 1-2 years of experience in software testing.
- Proven experience in testing iOS and Android applications.
- Experience in writing and executing automation test cases.
- Strong knowledge of Java coding.
- Basic understanding of programming languages (e.g., Java, C++, Python) and scripting.
- Familiarity with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and a passion for ensuring software quality.
- Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, TestRail)
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of API testing.
- Experience in iOS and Android app testing.
- Automation test case writing experience is a plus
- Java coding knowledge.
- Understanding and involvement in the SDLC.
- Having relevant certifications, such as ISTQB Certified Tester or Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA), is a plus.
