Position Overview:
The Business Development and Strategic Alliances Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth and organizational expansion by identifying, negotiating, and managing strategic partnerships and alliances. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with key stakeholders, and creating innovative strategies to establish and maintain partnerships that align with the organization's goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development
1. Opportunity Identification:
- Research and identify potential markets, industries, and companies for growth opportunities.
- Conduct market analysis to determine emerging trends and customer needs.
2. Lead Generation and Conversion:
- Generate leads through networking, market research, and industry events.
- Develop proposals, pitches, and presentations for prospective partners and clients.
3. Revenue Growth:
- Work collaboratively with technical teams to achieve project delivery targets.
- Monitor and report on business development activities and progress.
Strategic Alliances & Partnerships
1. Partnership Identification:
- Identify and evaluate potential domestic and global partners that align with the company's strategic objectives with an emphasis on investment industry and start-ups.
- Develop criteria for partnership selection and engagement.
2. Negotiation and Agreement:
- Negotiate terms and agreements for partnerships and alliances.
- Draft and manage partnership contracts and agreements in collaboration with legal teams.
3. Partnership Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new partners.
- Regularly assess the performance of partnerships and ensure mutual benefits.
Strategy and Planning
1. Strategic Planning:
- Develop and execute business development strategies that align with the company's long-term goals.
- Identify risks and opportunities associated with new partnerships.
2. Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work with internal teams, such as marketing, sales, and operations, to execute partnership strategies.
- Align partnerships with product/service development and delivery.
Analytics and Reporting
1. Performance Analysis:
- Track and analyse key metrics to evaluate the success of business development initiatives.
- Present insights and recommendations to senior management.
2. Market Intelligence:
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and potential disruptions.
Qualifications and Skills
Education: MBA or Post graduation (business, commerce, marketing domain) from Tier I/II college/institute/university.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or a related field.
- Proven track record of developing and managing high-value partnerships.
Skills:
- Strong negotiation and deal-closing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficient in market research and data analysis.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Additional Requirements:
- Strong understanding of industry-specific trends and opportunities.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
